From the Man that brought you Mia Francesca... Scott HarrisScott Harris is the co-founder and chef of Francesca’s Restaurants. Harris along with his partners Michael Noone & Terry Alexander opened the first of the Francesca’s Restaurants on Clark Street in Chicago in 1992, Mia Francesca. Since 1992 the company has grown to include 20 locations throughout Chicagoland and one in Wisconsin opening this Spring.
“I have been blessed to be able to take my dream of opening my own restaurant and growing that dream to where it is today,” says Harris. “It’s amazing to be able to see dishwashers and cooks in the position I was in 25 years ago and to help them to grow into company leaders.”
Harris’ attention to detail has created a company of restaurants with individual flair and neighborhood appeal while still maintaining consistency within the brand. Francesca’s Restaurants has a close-knit, family-like atmosphere, maintained by promoting people from within rather than hiring outside applicants. All restaurant employees, from dishwashers to waiters, are encouraged to push themselves to move up within the company.
Scott Harris is native to Chicago having spent his childhood in Homewook. His favorite foods are Francesca’s Restaurant’s Spaghetti Checco, Quattro Stagioni Pizza and his wife’s Greek cooking.
